After a smooth and easy flight to the East Coast we arrived at our hotel. Of course being only 8:30am our rooms were not yet ready. Walked over to Cafe Charlie's (next door) to eat a true NYC breakfast. Yell out your order and wait. The even opened their upstairs section just for us.Monisha and Isha joined the group and we were off to walk the city. Had to postpone the island boat tour due to weather. We ventured into Times Square, where we joined the 7th annual Solstice Festival in the middle of Times Square. Mahum and Shreya worked as Press, signed in as official press. Others participated in the event for about 20 min. (went for 1.5 hours, we were tired).
Finally got in to our rooms at about 2:30 and relaxed until time to head to camp.
